Marine & Ports
Chloride and sulphate resistant binder systems for quay walls, jetties, sea defences and coastal structures.
The problem
- 01Chloride ingress corrodes reinforcement in tidal and splash zones.
- 02Sulphate attack degrades concrete in marine and groundwater exposure.
- 03Repair access on marine structures is expensive and disruptive.
Our solution
- 01Micro silica reduces permeability and resistance to chloride ions and chemical attack.
- 02GGBFS is specified at 50–70% for marine and sulfate resistant concrete.
- 03Denser, less permeable mixes extend maintenance intervals on exposed structures.
Materials used
Grades specified for Marine & Ports
CRM-03
Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS)
50–80% cement replacement in mass and marine concrete.
ASTM C989 · EN 15167-1 · BS 6699 · IS 12089 CRM-04Ultra Fine Slag
Higher surface area slag for durability-critical structures.
ASTM C989 · IS 12089 CRM-05Micro Silica (Silica Fume)
Particles ~100× smaller than cement; the strongest densifier in the range.
85–98% SiO₂ · highly pozzolanic ABR-01Copper Slag Grit
Standard expendable media for shipyard and structural steel blasting.
ISO 11126-3 · ASTM D7737 · REACH & RoHSSupply example
High-durability mixes for coastal infrastructure
Micro silica and GGBFS supplied for marine and sulfate resistant concrete, with copper slag grit for surface preparation of adjacent steel structures.
